Quality Control Supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university
2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
SUMMARY
We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee our team of Senior and Bench Technicians and manage the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance program at our Atlanta, GA plant. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with company, customer, and government procedures by conducting inspections and audits throughout all stages of quality performance, from raw materials to distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the plant's SQF certification program.
- Implement and enforce Quality policies, procedures, and directives, following company and government Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Provide feedback and take necessary actions to address issues and ensure compliance.
- Ensure proper training of Quality Technicians and plant personnel on quality programs, procedures, safety, and housekeeping. Maintain calibrated and functioning equipment.
- Promote the flow of information between departments by identifying and resolving production process problems.
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Assist the Quality Manager and Compliance Manager with assigned tasks.
- Direct and supervise a team of Quality Technicians.
Additionally, the Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for various supervisory tasks such as interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating employees, and addressing employee issues.
