3D SolidWorks Mechanical Design Project Engineer

  • Minimum of two years experience as a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer, combined with two years of engineering designer experience

This is a full-time opportunity for a 3D SolidWorks Mechanical Project Engineer at a growing and diverse manufacturer specializing in custom structural, system, and metal components. The company serves a wide range of customers, including biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical companies. If you have the aptitude and drive, you will have the opportunity to progress into a project management role. This position has become available due to increased demand for the company's products. The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:

  • Effective project management to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion
  • Scheduling and budgeting of various custom engineering projects
  • Development, engineering, fabrication, and testing of custom engineering projects
  • Thorough review of detailed 3D SolidWorks drawings
  • Collaboration with vendors, customers, and engineering/production teams
  • Support and coordination of project engineers
  • Creation of the Production Ready Library
  • Generation of Engineering Change Notices
  • Creation of bills of materials
  • Facilitation of integrations
  • Supervision of field installations

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Two years of experience as a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer
  • Two years of engineering design experience
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or three years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a minimum of two years' experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated reliable work history
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a Green Card
  • Residence within a 45-minute commute of Whitewater
