Account Manager

Our client is a leading provider of information management services with locations in major cities across the country. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. This role focuses on selling our document storage solutions to new customers and prospects. In addition to managing sales, the Account Manager will also be responsible for generating leads, developing proposals and presentations, and closing sales. Our ideal candidate is driven, has a strong knowledge of the industry, and excels in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lead generation and prospecting activities to maintain a pipeline of potential accounts.
  • Qualify, research, track, and develop leads into viable sales opportunities.
  • Create strong business cases, proposals, and presentations for sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate the terms of agreements and close sales.
  • Stay knowledgeable about industry trends, technology, competitive offerings, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in professional organizations related to sales, marketing, and the industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the document management industry.
  • Strong prospecting and sales skills, with a hunter mentality for finding new account opportunities.
  • Driven to succeed and excel, with a passion and enthusiasm for the business.
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial atmosphere with a willingness to adapt to constant change.
  • Technical awareness and the ability to engage with C-level contacts.
  • Strong relationship building skills to foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in previous positions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
