Sales Representative

Location: Chicago, IL
Our client is a global provider of information management services with facilities located in major cities across the country. They are currently looking for a Sales Representative to join their team in Chicago, IL. The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling document solutions software, outsourced hosting, BPO, and workflow solutions.

The main objective of this role is to maximize sales of information management services to both new and existing customers and prospects. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving targeted sales for assigned accounts or territory by engaging with established customers and developing new prospects
  • Conducting lead generation and prospecting activities to maintain a steady pipeline of potential accounts
  • Qualifying, researching, tracking, and developing leads into viable business opportunities
  • Effectively communicating the value proposition to individuals at various levels within organizations
  • Creating strong business cases, proposals, and presentations for sales opportunities
  • Negotiating agreement terms and closing sales
  • Participating in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance industry and customer awareness of company services and solutions
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the industry, trends, technology, competitive offerings, and customer requirements, and providing informed feedback to the company


  • At least 3 years of consultative sales experience in an enterprise or large account sales environment, with a focus on selling document management software or SaaS
  • A strong mentality for hunting new accounts and expanding within existing accounts
  • Previous experience selling document imaging (EDM, content management, BPM, or similar applications) is desirable
  • Experience selling outsourced services, such as SaaS or cloud-based models, is a plus
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment with constant change
  • Technical awareness and ability to confidently engage with IT personnel
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in achieving sales goals
  • Ability to understand and map processes and corresponding document and information flows across different departments
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales quotas in previous roles
  • Proven track record of winning competitive major account sales
  • Solid business acumen and a strong understanding of how businesses operate in various functional areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
