Automotive Account Executive

Location: Peoria, IL
The position of Automotive Account Executive is currently available in Peoria, IL. This role involves providing support to the Sales Department and carrying out the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engaging, qualifying, and conducting Needs Analysis to determine and understand customer needs and requirements for company solutions.
  • Offering pre-sales and post-sales support to customers, including performing retrofit / up-fit work on customer trucks.
  • Leading presentations to customers, showcasing company products, and influencing decision-makers in their product choices.
  • Taking the lead in managing and providing technical input on customer RFQ processes.
  • Collaborating with project teams and escalating any needs within the company as necessary.
  • Resolving on-site sales-related issues and troubleshooting problems.
  • Gathering and analyzing competitor information and identifying the unique selling points of company products.
  • Supporting Field Marketing events, such as trade shows and Customer Tech Days.
  • Keeping track of all activity through, including activity reports and updates on opportunities and progress.
  • Preparing and conducting follow-up communications with customers, as well as sending out product collateral and marketing materials.
  • Managing confidential information, including pricing and technical data.
  • Adhering to Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems, and supporting company operations in Mexico as needed.
  • Participating in plant recycling programs.
  • Contributing to the achievement of quality and management objectives by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Technical Field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in fluid management.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the assigned region, as well as visit the company's headquarters in Fort Wayne and the Mexico facility several times per year.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
