Financial Analyst

Location: Cranberry Twp, PA
Our client, a long-standing player in the oil and gas industry with nearly a century of experience, is currently experiencing growth that requires the addition of a Financial Analyst at their Cranberry Twp, PA location.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, prepaids, accounts payable, and long-term liabilities.
  • Create monthly journal entries for all general ledger accounts.
  • Participate in the month-end close process.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, including managing all aspects of the payroll cycle, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare fuel tax filings and associated tax reports.
  • Manage heavy vehicle tax filings and maintain records of truck registrations and titles.
  • Assist in implementing streamlined and automated bank reconciliation processes.
  • Support external audits, including financial and 401K audits, by providing requested information.
  • Perform additional assigned duties, including ad hoc analysis and projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a 4-year, accredited University.
  • Four or more years of relevant accounting experience, including month-end close, reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and maintain positive working relationships.
