Our client, a small manufacturing company owned by a private equity firm, is in search of an Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing various financial functions including the monthly financial close, preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, accounts receivable management and accuracy, supervision of accounts payable and payroll, and the yearly budget preparation.

Job Description:

• Lead the monthly financial accounting closing process
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial statements on a monthly basis
• Manage the reconciliation process for bank/cash accounts, balance sheet accounts, and inventory
• Regularly monitor cash accounts and cash position, plan for future cash receipts and disbursements, and provide analyses to senior leadership on cash management
• Oversee the fixed asset system to ensure proper accounting for capital expenditures and depreciation
• Supervise the completion of tax reporting requirements
• Lead the year-end financial audit
• Build and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Ensure internal controls and processes align with best practices, regularly review and identify/analyze/research new processes and technologies for implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting and/or finance
• Experience with implementing ERP systems
• Proficient in Excel with expertise, and consistent use of PowerPoint and Word (among other MS Office Suite applications)
