Primary Function: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take on advanced engineering tasks with limited supervision, overseeing a significant engineering project from start to finish. You will be responsible for two assembly lines focused on insulation and painting, and will manage a team of two technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in industry groups and perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision.
  • Manage all aspects of a major engineering project, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Create action plans and estimate resource requirements for project completion.
  • Prepare monthly progress and cost reports for top management.
  • Utilize CAE tools such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards and procedures, providing guidance on engineering issues.
  • Analyze and determine causes of component failures.
  • Provide technical solutions for manufacturing or customer field issues, demonstrating familiarity with multiple operations.
  • Lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development, utilizing team management skills.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status within and beyond the project team.
  • Complete assigned engineering projects according to customer specifications, within schedule and budget constraints, coordinating the activities of the engineering team, contractors, and vendors.
  • Lead brainstorming activities to address specific needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Leadership skills and experience.
  • Experience in assembly and process engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training.
  • Experience with 6 sigma or FMEA is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, adept at solving complex problems.
  • Experience leading Kaizen or Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and address issues through root cause analysis.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP and MRP systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience managing direct reports.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Related Field.

Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training.
