Please Note: Salary range is between $120,000 - $170,000 base, with total earnings reaching $150,000 - $230,000 including bonuses.

Job Summary
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for handling plaintiff workers’ compensation cases, focusing on securing settlements and championing for injured workers. Main responsibilities include:

• Representing injured workers throughout the workers’ compensation claims process.
• Managing a caseload involving settlement negotiations and some litigation tasks.
• Drafting legal paperwork like motions, petitions, and discovery documents.
• Attending hearings and depositions before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
• Collaborating with medical and vocational experts to bolster client cases.
• Keeping clients updated on case progress and legal strategies.

Requirements

• Holding a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in California.
• At least 1 year of experience in workers’ compensation law (plaintiff or defense).
• Strong litigation skills, with proficient negotiation and legal drafting abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management competence.
• Client-centric mindset with effective communication skills.
• A true passion for advocating for injured workers.
