Restructuring Associate
Location: New York, NY
Our client, a renowned global law firm with a century of experience, is seeking a Restructuring Associate to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year associate, working in a hybrid model from their midtown NYC location.
They are known for their international reputation, successful advocacy in litigation and arbitration, and providing practical advice in structuring business transactions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting various corporate and reorganization documents, such as disclosure statements and reorganization plans
- Conducting thorough research and analysis of legal and factual issues
- Preparing agreements and corporate documents
- Performing due diligence procedures
- Regular communication with clients
- Assisting clients with their corporate governance matters
- Analyzing complex capital structures and financial issues
- Preparing for and participating in witness interviews, depositions, and court hearings
- Developing business strategies and crafting client pitches
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of experience representing banks and others in Structured Finance transactions
- Must be a member of the New York Bar
- Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 firm
- Graduated from a top Law School
- Ability to work closely with partners and senior associates, interacting directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Excellent academic credentials, strong communication and client service skills, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
The expected pay range for this position is $275,000-$415,000 (DOE), plus benefits.
