Providing treatment to athletes of all ages, abilities, and sports.
Preventing, treating, and rehabilitating physical injuries, while also addressing the emotional and mental aspects of injuries.
Proficient in treating sprains, strains, contusions, and fractures.
Measuring, examining, analyzing, and/or providing instructions to determine or evaluate physical fitness in both healthy and diseased individuals.
Assisting in enhancing physical fitness and promoting disease and disability prevention.
Establishing communication with athletic directors, school employees, coaches, parents, and medical professionals.
Supporting the development and organization of individual and group rehabilitation programs.
The Athletic Trainer is responsible for coordinating all on-site sports medicine coverage, taping, preseason and postseason physical screenings, injury clinics, training room management, and budgeting for training supplies.
Ensuring familiarity with the standard of practice in athletic training for both school and outpatient rehabilitation settings, as well as adhering to regulations set by payers.
Demonstrating critical thinking skills to provide safe, quality care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.
Delivering exceptional, respectful customer service to all individuals, while prioritizing their safety.
Effectively communicating with all customers and collaborating with healthcare team members and other departments.
Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, regulatory/accrediting body requirements, and professional practice standards.
Assisting with the daily operations and collecting statistics within the medical fitness center.
Completing assigned tasks and duties in a timely manner, utilizing multitasking skills.
Maintaining the confidentiality of customer and departmental information.
Graduation from an accredited program for Athletic Trainers, a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, or an equivalent degree is required.
Certification as an Athletic Trainer is required.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Current CPR certificate is required.
The position is located north of Columbus.
The department has a phenomenal team, and the director is widely respected.
They are expanding and require two trainers for the high schools that contract with the hospital.
Applicants must be flexible with their hours, as they will vary depending on the sport and event.
The salary for this position will range between 50K-60K, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 5K sign-on bonus, is offered.
