SUMMARY:- Treating athletes of various ages, skill levels, and sports
- Preventing, treating, and rehabilitating physical injuries while addressing emotional and mental aspects
- Skilled in the treatment of sprains, strains, contusions, and fractures
- Measuring, examining, analyzing, and providing instruction to evaluate physical fitness components in individuals with both good and poor health
- Assisting in improving physical fitness components and promoting disease and disability prevention
- Establishing communication with athletic directors, school employees, coaches, parents, and medical professionals
- Assisting with the development and organization of individual and group rehabilitation programs
- Coordinating on-site sports medicine coverage, taping, physical screenings, injury clinics, training room management, and training supply budgeting
- Adhering to standard practice regulations for Athletic Training in a school and outpatient rehabilitation setting
- Demonstrating critical thinking for safe, high-quality care for clients of various age groups
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer safety
- Efficiently communicating and collaborating with healthcare team members, departments, and adhering to organizational and professional standards
- Assisting with daily operations and collecting statistics at the medical fitness center
- Completing assigned tasks and duties in a timely manner using multitasking skills
- Maintaining confidentiality of customer and departmental information
- Graduate of an accredited program for Athletic Trainers, with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or equivalent
- Certified Athletic Trainer
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Current CPR certificate
The position is located south of Mount Vernon and east of Columbus.
The department has an excellent team, and the director is highly respected.
There is an expansion underway, and the position is needed for a local high school that contracts with the hospital.
The candidate must be flexible with hours depending on the sport and event.
The position offers a salary range between $50,000 - $66,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
