Location: Appleton, WI
Automation Controls Engineer – Siemens & Allen-Bradley Specialist
  • To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering, along with at least 2 years of experience in Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Parker-Hannifin controls engineering. Experience in web handling is also required.
  • There may be domestic travel for up to 6 weeks per year.
  • The salary for this position can go up to $81,000.

This rapidly growing manufacturer of industrial controls and instrumentation is currently seeking to hire a full-time, permanent Automation Controls Engineer. The company utilizes technology to improve customer manufacturing operations, primarily relying on Allen Bradley, Siemens, Parker-Hannifin, Motion Control, WonderWare, IFix, HMI, SCADA, AutoCAD, and various Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
  • Designing and developing electrical controls and control panels for web handling control systems
  • Programming PLCs, HMIs, and drives
  • Overseeing panel construction
  • Serving as the project manager for assigned projects
  • Commissioning control systems at client sites
  • Maintaining project costs and timelines
  • Creating electrical schematics
  • Interacting with customers as needed
  • Presenting to various levels within the organization
  • Participating in budgeting activities
  • Contributing to cutting-edge technology, robotic programming, and factory automation
  • Traveling for 4 to 6 weeks annually
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Parker-Hannifin controls engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience with HMIs
  • At least 2 years of experience in web handling
  • Ability to travel domestically for 4 to 6 weeks annually
  • A solid work history
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a green card
  • Must reside within 45 minutes of the Appleton, Wisconsin area
