Automation Controls Engineers – Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)

My client is a global, multi-billion dollar metals manufacturing corporation currently seeking an AUTOMATION ENGINEER to join their maintenance and engineering team at their advanced manufacturing operation in Davenport, IA. This facility has a long-standing history within the company and offers a stable work environment.
The Automation Engineers will be responsible for overseeing systems engineering in the areas of automation and computer systems to contribute to the Manufacturing Unit's goals of safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
This region offers a low cost of living and provides easy access to schools, universities, and a range of amenities found in mid-sized cities. It strikes a good balance between rural and urban communities.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is essential in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience in developing HMI/SCADA systems is required.
  • Previous experience with Wonderware development is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and electrical systems is necessary.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networks is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and relational databases is necessary.
  • Prior experience in building client/server applications is a must.
  • Experience in developing multi-threaded applications is required.
  • Candidates must possess software skills in analysis, design, methodology, and architecture.
  • Previous experience in Windows operating system management and configuration within a networked manufacturing environment is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with electronics troubleshooting Technicians on the shop floor is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for this role.
COMPENSATION: $100K to $120K+ & 10% Annual Bonus
