Hours and Compensation Potential:

This is a full-time position with day shift hours. On-call duties will be rotated among technicians. The compensation ranges from $24.50/hr to $33.50/hr, based on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.


What We're Looking For:

We are seeking candidates who have an Associate's Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency in the maintenance and repair of clinical equipment within a healthcare environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a BMET 1 or above in a healthcare setting. Additionally, candidates should have the ability to learn LAN/WAN integration fundamentals to collaborate across groups and teams as needed.


What You'll Be Doing:

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating various basic clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. You will work under the moderate supervision of the Department Manager/BMET Supervisor and other senior technicians. You will also interact with other clinical health providers on a routine basis to identify and solve technology-based problems. As a BMET II, you should have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of clinical inventory devices. You will participate in and conduct on-the-job training programs to meet technical, administrative, and customer service requirements. As you progress in the role, you will work towards obtaining the status of a BMET III, which requires significant proficiency in sophisticated clinical devices and systems, the ability to train and mentor junior technicians, and the development of supervisory and administrative skills leading towards leadership positions. You will perform all tasks in strict adherence to the departmental Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP). You will also monitor "Corrective" and "Scheduled" Open Work Order reports regularly to ensure timely completion and accuracy of work requests. Additionally, you will be responsible for ordering parts or vendor services necessary to maintain equipment within manufacturer's specifications, as well as scheduling and overseeing third-party activities as needed.

This position reports to the BioMed Manager and is part of a 6-person team across multiple campuses. You will work with a supportive team in a dynamic environment. This position functions somewhat like a lead/coordinator role as it requires working between vendors/imaging and keeping things organized. The manager emphasizes the need for adaptability and patience in this role.
