Building Automation Sales Executive

Shift: 1st shift

Location: Latham, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a preliminary assessment of business opportunities to ensure they align with company objectives
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to develop and estimate intricate DDC controls systems
  • Create and deliver proposal presentations and respond to RFPs
  • Generate comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, system sketches, scope definition, exceptions/exclusions, and quotes from vendors/subcontractors
  • Develop technical proposals and detailed scope letters
  • Participate in sales calls, pre-bid meetings, and site assessments for potential projects
  • Maintain a client and project database, and provide regular updates to the General Manager on new opportunities
  • Effectively communicate the scope of work to the engineering department and ensure the successful turnover of sales documentation and estimates

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in Building Automation or HVAC sales
  • Self-motivated with a strong willingness to stay up-to-date with new DDC technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical systems and their application to controls
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • B.S or A.S. in Mechanical Engineering OR B.S in Business Management OR equivalent experience in the building controls/HVAC industry
