Business Analyst - Product Development

Our client, a leading global apparel retailer and parent company of multiple apparel brands, is seeking a Business Analyst for their Product Development team. This role is based in New York, NY and offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's digital transformation efforts and become a key player in their future success.

In this position, you will collaborate with the R&D and Merchandising teams to lead discussions on business issues, define resolutions, and implement systems. Your responsibilities will include driving sales uplift, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency. To succeed, you must have a strong understanding of product development business processes and be capable of building partnerships both within and outside the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively engage with R&D, MD team, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve business issues

Lead business process improvement, system implementation, and operational stabilization

Facilitate discussions between US and overseas corporate offices

Manage project outcomes, including cost, schedule, and quality

Manage project budget and negotiate vendor contracts

Key Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business consulting or system implementation

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the retail industry

Experience in business process analysis, issue identification, and future business process development

Experience in implementing merchandising systems

Knowledge of product development in the fashion industry

Some Project Management experience preferred

This position is based in the NYC office, with required attendance at remote meetings with the overseas team from 6:00pm to 8:00pm EST at least 3 days a week. Flexible work hours are offered to accommodate this schedule.

Salary range is $120,000-$130,000 + 10% bonus paid at 5% increments 2x per year
