Key Responsibilities:

  • Must possess a valid license from the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
  • LSW or LPC license required.
  • Current licensure by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a CDCA, LCDC II, III, or LICDC is also necessary. Preference given to higher than CDCA licensure.

Working Hours and Compensation:

  • This is a full-time day shift position. In rare instances, may need to cover evening groups during staff vacations.
  • Salary range is $46K-$63K, based on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package provided.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offer therapeutic counseling to individuals with chemical dependencies, utilizing a bio-psychosocial approach.
  • Educate patients and families about the disease process related to chemical dependency.
  • Facilitate group discussions, work individually with patients on their chemical dependency concerns, and assign group activities for Mental Health Technicians.
  • Assess patient needs and make appropriate group recommendations.
  • Complete daily billing charges/sheets.
  • Utilize historical and current data to assess patient needs.
  • Apply effective interviewing and supportive counseling skills.
  • Provide crisis intervention to individuals and groups, and conduct family clinical interventions for clients with chemical dependency.
  • Act as an advocate, mediator, and facilitator for clients.
