Senior Radiation Therapist

What we are seeking:- Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Training Program.
- Current license from the ARRT specific to Radiation Therapy - ARRT (T).
- Maintain a valid Radiation Therapist license from the Ohio Department of Health.
- 3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy, including specific training in simulation and planning. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification is required.
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm (call rotation is 1 week on and 2 weeks off).
- The salary ranges from $84,000 to $107,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a $15,000 sign-on bonus.
- Perform radiation therapist duties and handle administrative tasks assigned by the department director.
- Review, write, and update radiation policies and procedures.
- Educate staff on policies, procedures, and Ohio Department of Health (ODH) requirements.
- Ensure completion and logging of equipment quality checks and maintain all equipment in safe working condition.
- Organize and document radiation therapy Quality Assurance and Improvement meetings.
- Assist in developing QA/QI plans and ensure compliance with Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards.
- Coordinate patient care based on individual needs.
- Assist in the selection, training, and orientation of radiation therapy personnel.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to radiation oncology billing procedures.
- Support physicist with quality and safety requirements and implement electronic medical record systems.
- Have a complete understanding of therapy equipment, including the VARIAN linear accelerator, patient protection devices, CT Simulation Unit, and Portal Vision.
