What we seek:
• Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Training Program.
• Possession of a current ARRT license specific to Radiation Therapy - ARRT (T).
• Maintenance of a valid Radiation Therapist license issued by the Ohio Department of Health.
• 3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy, with focused training in simulation and planning. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Current certification in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required.
Hours and compensation:
• This position offers full-time employment, Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm (with 1 week of on-call rotation every 3 weeks). No weekends or holidays.
• Compensation ranges between $84,000 and $107,000 depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a $15,000 sign-on bonus.
Your responsibilities:
• Fulfill the duties of a radiation therapist and carry out assigned administrative tasks as directed by the department director.
• Review, draft, and update radiation policies and procedures.
• Educate staff on policy, procedures, and Ohio Department of Health (ODH) requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ODH Administrative Code requirements, supporting the department director in meeting those standards.
• Oversee and ensure completion and documentation of equipment quality checks, while maintaining all equipment in safe and satisfactory working condition.
• Monitor and manage preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Chair and document radiation therapy Quality Assurance and Improvement meetings.
• Assist with the development of QA/QI plans and act as a resource for staff, supporting the director in achieving Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards.
• Coordinate patient care based on individual needs.
• Participate in the selection, training, and orientation of radiation therapy personnel.
• Support the director in evaluating and ensuring staff competencies.
• Possess a thorough understanding of radiation oncology billing procedures and assist the director in edits/audits.
• Assist the physicist in meeting quality and safety requirements, and support the implementation and consistent use of electronic medical records.
• Demonstrate expertise in the operation and maintenance of therapy equipment, including but not limited to:
    - The VARIAN linear accelerator and patient protection devices
    - Hardware and software for all patient information systems (HIS, PACS, RIS, IMPAC, etc)
    - CT Simulation Unit
    - Portal Vision
