Civil Engineer - Water Resources Planning

Location: Smyrna, GA
We are actively seeking a Civil Engineer with expertise in Water Resources Planning for our team in Smyrna, GA.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects focused on water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water supply planning, asset management, and conveyance systems
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling, master planning, evaluations, studies, and analyses related to water resources
  • Assess water quality, water loss, rainfall-derived infiltration, and inflow
  • Evaluate surface water supplies, groundwater supplies, reuse options, and water rights
  • Perform condition assessments, sanitary sewer evaluations, and capital planning for water and wastewater systems
  • Conduct wire-to-water analysis, pumping optimization, transient analysis, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Manage physical modeling projects
Responsibilities may also include:
  • Project Management and Execution
  • Supporting business development activities
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering (MS is a plus)
  • Minimum of five years of technical experience, including at least two years in master planning for water and/or wastewater infrastructure
  • Experience in executing master planning projects and developing capital improvement programs
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain registration within six months of employment
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Bentley WaterGEMS, Innoyvze InfoWater, Innovyze InfoWorks)
  • Excellent communication skills
Location: Smyrna, GA. Occasional travel will be required for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.
