Our client, a leader in the oil and gas industry, is looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their growing team as a Construction Project Manager. We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in civil and environmental engineering principles who is passionate about delivering excellence in this dynamic industry. As a Construction Project Manager, your role will involve coordinating between internal and external teams to support civil engineering design projects in Morgantown, WV and the surrounding areas. These projects may include well pads, pipeline rights-of-way, public and private roadways, and other initiatives essential to our client's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project schedules, ensuring that engineering assignments related to design, permitting, and project closeout are planned, developed, and performed effectively.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new construction projects.
- Oversee detailed engineering designs and permit applications, including civil/site drawings, well plats, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, such as engineering consultants, surveyors, land agents, and property owners.
- Supervise and support construction projects to ensure adherence to design plans and quality standards, while maintaining accurate documentation of project modifications.
- Perform field inspection services as necessary.
- Track project budgets and invoices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding, on-time project results.
- Establish company standards to ensure design consistency across operating areas.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on internal and external documents, including technical reviews.
- Complete other assigned duties as required.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulations.
- Work closely with management to ensure all work products meet quality standards.
- Perform work both in an office environment and in the field, involving travel to various company locations and project sites.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Additional disciplines may be considered with equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the Appalachian Basin, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
- Proficiency in civil engineering principles and design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience in civil/site and right-of-way design and construction is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Capable of performing light physical activities such as lifting up to 15 pounds, kneeling, standing, walking, crouching, and using manual dexterity.
- Comfortable using standard office and computer equipment.
