Civil / Structural Failure Analyst

Location: Charleston, SC
We are currently seeking a Civil/Structural Failure Analyst for our client's Charleston, SC Practice. This role allows for remote work from home.

Position Details
As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting and overseeing investigations on buildings, structures, and their components. This includes performing structural analysis, assessing damages, ensuring compliance with building codes, conducting lab and field tests on construction materials, and reviewing structural designs. You will collaborate with clients and other consultants, manage multiple unique projects, and prepare comprehensive written reports on your findings.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Advanced Technical Education degrees are a plus
  • Prior experience in Forensics (2+ years) is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with litigation is highly valued
  • Proficiency in computer software such as MathCAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing/construction/design sectors is a plus
