We are currently seeking a Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer for our client's office in Columbia, SC. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the top firms in the industry. The role offers flexibility, allowing for a hybrid work arrangement between the office and home.
Position Details
As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting and managing investigations related to buildings, structures, and structural components. This includes tasks such as structural analysis, damage assessment, building code compliance, lab and field testing of construction materials, and review of structural designs. In addition, you will collaborate with clients and other consultants, oversee multiple projects, and prepare concise written reports summarizing your findings.
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Advanced Technical Education degrees (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in forensic engineering
- Litigation experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency in computer software such as MathCAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing/construction/design sectors is a plus
