Investigative Civil/Structural Engineer

Location: Columbia, SC
We're actively seeking a Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer for our client's Columbia, SC practice. This position offers the flexibility of working from both the office and home.

Position Details
As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting and overseeing investigations on buildings, structures, and structural components. This includes performing structural analysis, assessing damage, ensuring building code compliance, conducting lab and field tests on construction materials, and reviewing structural designs. You'll collaborate with clients and other consultants, manage multiple unique projects, and prepare detailed written reports summarizing your findings.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Advanced Technical Education degrees (a plus)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in forensic engineering
  • Litigation experience is highly desirable
  • Proficient in computer software such as MathCAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing/construction/design is a plus!
