THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all construction activities on-site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They will coordinate field personnel, maintain safety practices, and manage all on-site operations. The majority of work will be in Florida, with some projects in other southeastern states.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Maintain construction schedule and solve any problems that arise
- Order materials and schedule necessary inspections
- Understand project plans and specifications
- Build positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and employees
- Prepare reports, schedules, and punch lists
- Promote job site safety and address any hazards
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Conduct progress meetings and review job costs
- Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback
- Manage site logistics and staging plans
- Collaborate with project managers on pre-construction meetings
- Review submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure quality work is being performed by all parties involved
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in heavy commercial or industrial construction
- Experience with warehouse and distribution sites
- Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production
- Prior experience with Precast and tilt wall construction
Must have strong leadership skills and be hands-on
