Financial Administrator

Location: Fort Wayne, IN
The Financial Administrator will be responsible for overseeing financial and accounting operations, with a primary focus on divisional performance. This key leadership role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and collaborating with divisional leadership to optimize financial strategies and operational efficiency. The position is located in Fort Wayne, IN and is not remote.
Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Responsible for managing monthly Work In Process (WIP) reports, creating divisional entries, and reviewing job projections.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing projects, including Accounts Receivable collections and weekly check runs.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and uphold strong internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to the project accounting team to support their professional development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and divisional leadership to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, particularly for individual projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (experience in the construction industry is preferred).
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Procore and CMiC.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
