Rockwell AB, PlantPax Automation Engineer

Location: Sugar Land, TX
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 per year

Our client is hiring for the position of Rockwell AB, PlantPax Automation Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in control systems configuration, DCS/PLC development, and field instrumentation. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and testing of control systems

• Develop and optimize PLC/DCS systems, HMI graphics, and control narratives

• Reverse engineer obsolete control logic and create documentation

• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality control in all automation projects

• Work closely with clients to understand and address project needs

• Support loop checks, FAT/SAT execution, startup, and commissioning

Requirements:

✅ Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering and automation

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

• Expertise in Rockwell / Allen Bradley, including programming and HMI graphics

• Strong knowledge of P&ID development and PLC/DCS enclosure layout

• Proven experience in lead engineering roles and managing multiple projects

✅ Bonus Skills (Preferred):

• Knowledge of Plant PAX and Batch systems

• Experience with legacy system upgrades and reverse engineering

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
