Automation Engineers

My client, a Global, Multi-Billion dollar, metals manufacturing corporation, is seeking Automation Engineers to join their maintenance and engineering team at their cutting-edge manufacturing facility located in Davenport, IA. This site is one of the company's oldest and most well-established manufacturing sites, offering a stable and supportive work environment.
The Automation Engineers will be responsible for overseeing systems engineering in the areas of automation and computer systems, with the goal of contributing to the Manufacturing Unit's objectives in safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
This position is based in Davenport, IA, which is an ideal location with a low cost of living, excellent access to schools and universities, and a variety of amenities typically found in mid-sized cities. It offers a balanced lifestyle with a mix of rural and urban communities.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, as visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering or a related discipline is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing and the development of HMI/SCADA systems is required.
- Experience with Wonderware development is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in working with electrical systems, specifically Allen-Bradley PLCs, is necessary.
- A strong understanding of TCP/IP networks is a prerequisite.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and relational databases is essential.
- Prior experience in building client/server applications is a must.
- Experience in developing multi-threaded applications is mandatory.
- Software skills in analysis, design, methodology, and architecture are a necessity.
- Familiarity with Windows operating system management and configuration in a networked manufacturing environment is required.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with electronics troubleshooting Technicians on the shop floor is vital.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for this role.
Compensation: $110K to $128K+ & 10% Annual Bonus
