Position Overview

As the Financial Operations Manager, you will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Reporting directly to the President, you will act as both a strategic advisor and a tactical executor, ensuring financial systems and processes are robust, scalable, and aligned with the company’s growth trajectory. This role also encompasses elements of human resources, compliance, and operational support, offering a comprehensive leadership opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the finance function, including financial record-keeping, payroll management, accounts payable and receivable, inventory oversight, tax compliance, and internal controls.
  • Create and present financial analyses, budgets, forecasts, and models to guide decision-making and provide insights to leadership and investors.
  • Act as the corporate treasurer, overseeing cash flow and ensuring adequate funding for growth through business operations and investor contributions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish a business intelligence framework that enhances performance, solves operational challenges, and supports scalability.
  • Offer actionable insights and financial recommendations to drive strategic decisions and achieve organizational goals.
  • Supervise the company’s financial and HR information systems to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with external accounting firms for tax preparation and other financial audits.
  • Promote continuous improvement in financial operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • A solid foundation in accounting principles and financial best practices.
  • Proven ability to balance individual contribution with team leadership, excelling in a "player-coach" role.
  • Experience in cash management, treasury functions, and developing financial systems for growing businesses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and lead high-performing teams, driving accountability and achieving results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in finance leadership roles.
