Custom Extruded Plastic Tooling Engineering Designer

This is a full-time position as a Custom Extruded Plastic Tooling Engineering Designer in a growing, highly adaptable, employee-focused, ISO certified manufacturer of plastic extrusion products. The company prioritizes staying up-to-date with technology and remains financially stable. This role has the potential to grow into a department head position for those interested. The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
- Creating designs for plastic extrusion tooling, including profile extrusion, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion
- Overseeing the design, construction, modification, installation, and maintenance processes
- Assisting machine operators and machinists
- Adjusting extrusion tooling as necessary
- Collaborating with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot and enhance production processes
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- At least three years of experience in designing plastic extrusion tooling for profile extrusion, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion
- Three or more years of strong extrusion processing experience
- In-depth knowledge of extrusion processing
- A stable work history
- US citizenship or possession of a green card
- Residence within a 45-minute commute
