Qualifications:
•Graduation from an accredited Cytotechnology program and CT (ASCP) certification.
•Experience required in GYN/non-GYN screenings & fine needle procedures with additional experience in Cytology specimen processing being a plus.
Hours and compensation:
•This position requires 32 hours per week, working day shifts with no weekends or holidays. A comprehensive benefits package will be offered as part of the full-time position.
•The hourly wage range is $30.27 to $41.66 depending on experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus of $12,000 is being offered.
•Full benefits package included, and preference is given to candidates who are within commutable distance, but assistance with relocation is available.

Responsibilities:
•The primary responsibility will be the microscopic evaluation of pap smears.
•Additional duties include processing Non GYN specimens, assisting in final needle aspirates, microscopic evaluation of Non GYN specimens, pap smear registration and accessioning, pap smear processing, pap smear staining, and stainer maintenance.
•Typically, support staff handles the processing, registration, and accessioning. However, Cytotechs will cover for PTO, FMLA, call-offs, or when needed based on volume.
•The equipment used includes Thin Prep processors, Thin Prep imager, Leica stainer, and SoftPath.
•Cytotechs will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art instrumentation.

•This position reports to a highly respected Director within the organization. The laboratory is high volume, and some Cytotechs may find the pace challenging in terms of maintaining both quality and accuracy.
