Manufacturing Director – Edible Goods
Location: Columbia, TN
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all operations of a contract bottling, blending, and packaging facility.
- Develop production schedule based on customer demands and coordinate resources accordingly.
- Implement best practices, process flow, and standard work for the contract bottling department.
- Manage a team of permanent and temporary staff, ensuring cross-training for redundancy.
- Contribute to strategic planning as part of the leadership team.
- Oversee the entire contract bottling process, ensuring client specifications are met.
- Provide guidance and leadership to a team including Bottling Manager, Blending Technicians, and Inventory Technicians.
- Develop and implement production schedules for efficient resource utilization.
- Collaborate with internal teams and ensure compliance with regulations and SOPs.
- Establish KPIs and standards for quality, staffing, and financial performance.
- Implement quality control measures in a GFSI certified facility.
- Adapt to shifting demands of the production schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams in a food and/or beverage contract production environment
- Experience in a GFSI certified facility (BRC or SQF and HACCP principles)
- Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
- Experience with financial controls and budget management
- Proven experience in managing client relationships
- Ability to manage materials and logistics
- Prior experience with Office Suites and ERP systems
Salary Range: $150-175K + 25% Bonus based on KPIs / company performance. Relocation Assistance – to be negotiated.
