As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the Warehousing operations for our clients in a specific region. Your main focus will be on developing and supporting the management teams in your assigned locations to ensure they are prepared to meet the current and future demands of the business. Duties of this role include:
- Assisting Managers and the Sales team with pricing strategies
- Developing and training team members to reach their highest potential
- Creating and implementing operational business plans for all facilities
- Ensuring proper storage and on-time delivery to customers
- Maintaining facility and operational quality standards
- Optimizing asset utilization
- Leading value stream improvement initiatives
- Documenting and improving processes
- Building and maintaining customer relationships
- Collaborating with various departments to fulfill organizational objectives
- Maintaining and expanding client relationships
- Participating in pricing solutions/services
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable management experience
- MBA preferred
- 10 plus years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a warehousing environment, preferably in the chemical and/or gas industries
- Strong problem-solving, planning, project management, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Warehouse Management Systems, and database systems
- Experience in an ISO environment is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret various documents
- Ability to influence C-level executives
- Strong people and project management skills
