Director of Project Engineering

Role:

As the Projects Engineering Director, your main responsibility will be overseeing significant capital initiatives, optimizing manufacturing systems, and spearheading the development of state-of-the-art facilities. This role is crucial in advancing our strategic growth and operational capabilities across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for capital investment to enhance production capabilities and support long-term growth.
• Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of new manufacturing plants and equipment installations.
• Implement advanced systems and methodologies to improve line efficiencies, reduce costs, and drive sustainability.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality, finance, and operations teams to align projects with business objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee RFP processes to secure best-value solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while meeting sustainability and operational goals.
• Monitor and report project performance, maintaining strict adherence to budgets and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline); advanced degree preferred.
• 5-10+ years of experience managing large-scale engineering projects in the food manufacturing or similar industries.
• Proven ability to lead high-speed packaging and process optimization projects.
• Strong team management and collaboration abilities, with a track record of measurable results.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and project oversight.
