Job Overview

We are currently hiring for the position of Director of Quality Assurance at our state-of-the-art facility in Jacksonville, FL. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive quality and food safety programs to meet regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as customer requirements, staying up-to-date on industry best practices.
• Act as the main contact for external auditors and oversee internal audits for continuous improvement and compliance.
• Analyze data to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive quality initiatives throughout the facility.
• Build and mentor a high-performing quality team, providing training and development opportunities to ensure consistent best practices.
• Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures to minimize risk and maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, and R&D teams to integrate quality standards into all aspects of operations.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, leading initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

• A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in quality systems are a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of quality systems, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of leading and developing teams to achieve quality goals and ensure compliance.
