Sales Manager

Location: New York, NY

Our client is revolutionizing services for the legal and insurance industries. Established in response to growing demand in today's virtual and technological landscape, they are currently experiencing significant expansion. As a privately funded company, they are seeking a Sales Manager who can thrive in a virtual work environment and is available for travel as required.

Due to their growth, our client is in need of a Sales Director to oversee a team of account executives. Applicants must currently reside in the East Coast or Central Time Zone and relocation assistance is not provided. (No exceptions).


  • Report to the executive team and lead a team of over 10 direct reports
  • Must have previous experience in legal sales and leadership (specifically court reporting and deposition services) to effectively manage and expand the business.
  • Responsible for overseeing and driving all sales activities in the assigned market(s), including budgeting and pipeline management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned market(s) in order to achieve company sales goals and maximize profitability.
  • Responsible for the growth and development of the Account Executives.
  • Develop individual and team action plans to effectively identify and pursue sales leads and prospects.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one reviews with all Account Executives for accountability.
  • Support the team in all sales and marketing efforts, including coordinating trade shows, networking events, and sponsorships.
  • Assist the executive team in implementing contests, blitzes, projects, and other initiatives to drive the sales process.

  • Familiarity with the legal services industry, with experience in sales and sales leadership within court reporting and deposition services for law firms and insurance companies.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 4-5 years managing a sales team.
  • Results-driven with the ability to grow an existing team of account executives and achieve both new business development and organic growth.
  • Strong expertise in pipeline management and budgeting.
  • Customer service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills; responsive to client needs, proactive in issue resolution, and approachable in manner.
  • Bachelor's degree required
