Sales Director

Location: Washington, DC

Our client is revolutionizing the legal & insurance industries by offering innovative services. With the rise of virtualization and technology, they are expanding rapidly. They are seeking a Sales Director who can work remotely and has the flexibility to travel as needed.

Due to their growth, our client requires a Director of Sales to oversee a team of account executives. The ideal candidate should currently reside in the East Coast or Central Time Zone. Relocation is not available under any circumstances.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to the executive team and lead a team of 10+ direct reports
  • Must have previous experience in legal sales and leadership (court reporting and deposition services) to effectively manage and expand the business.
  • In charge of developing and executing all sales activities in the assigned market(s), including budgeting and pipeline management.
  • Develop plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned market(s), ensuring the achievement of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Responsible for the performance and growth of the Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with individuals and the team to create effective sales lead and prospect search action plans.
  • Conduct individual reviews with Account Executives to ensure accountability.
  • Provide support to the team in all sales and marketing efforts, including coordination of Trade Shows, catering, networking events, and sponsorships.
  • Assist the executive team in implementing contests, blitzes, projects, and other activities to drive the sales process.
  • Manage and administer systems that support the sales process (Salesforce.com)

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of the legal services industry, with experience in sales and sales leadership, particularly in selling court reporting and deposition services to law firms and insurance companies.
  • At least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 4-5 years in managing a sales team.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to grow an existing team of account executives and drive both new business development and organic growth.
  • Strong expertise in pipeline management and budgeting.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, able to promptly respond to client needs, follow through, and resolve issues in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Bachelor's degree required
