District Operations Manager - Transportation & Collection
Location: Woodland, CA
Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 per year

We are seeking a highly motivated District Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day collection operations at our Woodland, CA location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, service, and savings while managing the performance and productivity of our operations. You will also be in charge of P&L and will directly supervise Route Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the district, providing support to drivers and prioritizing safety, service, and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, and other safety standards and regulations by implementing necessary precautions.
• Conduct thorough root cause investigations for injuries and incidents, and provide consistent coaching and retraining when needed.
• Oversee personnel needs, including hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, and evaluating employees. Make decisions regarding termination, compensation, and promotion.
• Collaborate with Senior District Manager and/or Director of Collection Operations to develop short-term and long-term goals and action plans.
• Participate in P&L reviews to meet budget targets. Develop and implement programs to optimize equipment utilization, maintenance, and labor and material costs.
• Interact with local city, municipal, and county agencies to enhance customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts, and negotiate new contracts.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree, High School Diploma, or GED and 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, maintained throughout employment.
• Experience in operations, customer service, community relations, health and safety, financial and human resource functions, and/or supervisory or managerial roles.
• Experience in implementing safety (OSHA) programs, managing budgets, and resolving labor relations issues.
