We are collaborating with a leading Global Automotive R&D Company to find a Junior CAE Engineer at their North American HQ near Dayton, OH.

Early Career CAE Engineer (job description)
This role involves creating and documenting modeling plans for the engineering team, initiating new processes and tools using FEA and computer engineering programs/software.
The engineer will also be responsible for overall development, testing, evaluation, and providing support for mass production startup based on client's and internal requirements.
The engineer will collaborate with design and product development teams, reporting and addressing problems or failures to enhance product quality.
These skills will be utilized in cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet customer and company standards.
The engineer must build trust and teamwork, cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, and uphold the company's guiding principles for decision-making.
They may also be required to support multiple projects in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality standards, and procedures.
MUST HAVE’S
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- 1-5 years in automotive CAE Engineering
Skills Required:
- Knowledge/experience of FEA software Hypermesh, Nastran, and Abaqus
- Strong understanding of FEA
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Skills Desired:
- Experience in 3D and 2D drawings
- Experience in data acquisition systems
- Knowledge of metal fatigue
