Service Department Electrical Automation Controls Systems Engineer

  • The company is seeking a full-time, permanent Electrical Automation Controls Systems Engineer to join their service department in Pewaukee, WI
  • The successful candidate must have a BSEE degree, as well as at least four years of custom machine design experience, three years of electrical hardware design experience, three years of robot, HMI, and PLC programming experience, and three years of Vision Systems experience
  • This role will involve up to 25% domestic and international travel
  • The salary for this position is up to $120,000

This position is in the service department, reporting to the Service Manager. There are potential opportunities for advancement into management roles. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
  • Assess customer needs and requirements
  • Design custom industrial automation machines
  • Develop electrical controls and power distribution systems
  • Create electrical hardware designs
  • Program robots, servos, HMI's and PLCs
  • Work with Vision Systems
  • Conduct testing of systems
  • Provide service and maintenance for custom machines
  • Prepare quotes for customers
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as needed, up to 25%

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • At least four years of experience in custom machine design
  • A BSEE degree
  • Three or more years of electrical hardware design experience
  • Three or more years of experience in robot, HMI, and PLC programming
  • Three or more years of experience with Vision Systems
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Consistent work history
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • Residence within a 45-minute drive of Pewaukee, WI
