Electrical Systems Engineer
The Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical controls for both standard and custom packaging machines. This includes programming, integration, and communication for various PC's, PLCs, HMIs, and servos. You will work with our PM&A Team in Orlando, FL to develop equipment using the latest technologies and best controls design practices.
Day to Day duties:

Create electrical designs for packaging machines to meet customer's needs.

Ensure accuracy of calculations for electrical and pneumatic components used in automation mechanisms.

Develop and maintain structured electrical bills of materials for purchasing and production purposes.

Research and select appropriate electrical components for machinery.

Use AutoCAD 2D to create electrical layout and control cabinet drawings.

Assist in improving the cost and quality of electrical designs for our machinery.

Understand customer's electrical specifications and requirements.

Collaborate with technical writer to create machine documentation.

Program upgrades for standard equipment and custom packaging machinery.

Participate in the start-up and commissioning of machinery at various locations.

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical/controls/programming.

Preferred experience in AutoCAD Electrical for designing industrial automated machinery.
- Working with high voltage three phase and single phase systems.
- Designing control systems using Allen-Bradley components.
- Creating I/O and electrical panel layout diagrams.
- Developing machine layout and pneumatic diagrams.
- Creating complete electrical bill of materials.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation products is preferred.
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 79 standards.
