Compensation: Up to $41.00/hr

Principal Accountabilities
· Ensure reliability of manufacturing processes
· Maintain adherence to process and industry standards and specifications
· Promote safety, health, and environmental practices
· Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
· Perform preventative maintenance, including annual inspections, as required
· Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics with ease
· Demonstrate strong commitment to personal safety and actively identify and address unsafe conditions
· Independently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in a complex manner
· Adhere to safety rules, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures, and assist in the development of proper safety techniques
· Identify and resolve follow-up work as necessary
· Gather necessary materials, tools, and documentation for planned and reactive work orders
· Investigate job site and determine scope of work for reactive work orders
· Prepare work site, including scaffolding and safety measures, as necessary
· Respond to interruption work assignments provided by supervisor and move on to next job after completion or as directed
· Collaborate with maintenance supervisor to resolve any issues that arise during work
· Complete closeout activities, including tool and parts reconciliation, sanitation tagging, and PdM validation arrangements
· Sign and return hardcopy work orders with necessary details and provide written communication regarding daily pass-downs
· Aid in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures for electronic controlled equipment, plant instrumentation, and plant data collection systems
· Maintain and troubleshoot electronic controlled equipment, plant instrumentation, and plant data collection systems
· Possess a strong ability to prioritize daily workload and work independently
· Knowledgeable and skilled in troubleshooting and repairing analog and digital control devices and sensors
· Proficient in using oscilloscope, VOM, and other test equipment to troubleshoot and repair industrial control devices
· Skilled in troubleshooting communications between PLC/PC and ASCII devices, such as bar-code readers, scales, label printers, digital displays, terminals, RFID, and wireless networking
· Demonstrated ability to systematically solve problems in a methodical manner
· Programming and troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
Required Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED Equivalent
· Adept at troubleshooting 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls, 120 VAC, and 24VDC control circuits
· Experience with maintenance in a food processing environment
· Computer literate and willing to learn SAP/PPE systems
· Proficient in the use of typical test and calibration equipment
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
· Programming and troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
· Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs and Ladder logic
· Willingness to be a part of the Hazmat team
Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in the state of Michigan
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Ability to read and interpret detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, and wiring schematics
Ability to work weekend and off shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literate and willing to learn SAP/PPE systems
Programming and troubleshooting skills with Allen-Bradley
Maintenance experience in a food processing environment
Proficiency in using typical test and calibration equipment, including RTD calibrators, digital multimeters, and 4 to 20 mA calibration units
Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls, 120 VAC, and 24VDC control circuits
MUST HAVE
Journeyman License in the State of Michigan
Programming and troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
Safety, Health and Environment
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Understand and certify in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and Ladder logic
Self-starter and high-performance individual with ability to prioritize their daily workload
