Power Systems Engineer

Location: Bettendorf, IA
Our client, located in the Mississippi River Valley near Bettendorf IA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. They are experiencing growth and require an individual to support all electrical work on-site, including power distribution, PLC programming, data collection, and data trends. The facility is equipped with both new and legacy PLC's. As part of a strong team, you will receive ample support while also being expected to work independently when necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs is a must, and on-the-job experience may be considered in place of a degree. You should also possess project management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor less experienced colleagues within cross-functional project teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing preventive maintenance procedures for the plant's electrical and control systems.
Ideally, you should have some knowledge or experience with PLCs (such as Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC, and PLC5), drives (Allen Bradley, Parker/SSD), HMI's (FactoryTalk View), plant floor control networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and DH+), power distribution, and general-purpose industrial controls.
