Electrical Systems Designer

Location: Elverson, PA

We are currently hiring for the position of Electrical Systems Designer in Elverson, PA. This is a direct hire position and we are specifically looking for an Electronic Engineer who is either a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder. Please note that we are not offering sponsorship for this role.

In this role, you will be an essential part of our client's team and will play a vital role in providing technical support in the field of Electronic Engineering. Your responsibilities will include designing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment components at our state-of-the-art industrial melting facility. You will also contribute to capital projects, assist with maintenance activities, and perform the following duties:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in electrical and/or electronic engineering for our advanced industrial melting facility.
  • Design, install, commission, and test new equipment and upgrades, primarily focusing on capital projects.
  • Suggest modifications to improve the reliability, quality, and productivity of equipment on site.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management teams to develop solutions for recurring issues.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, equipment, and maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting unexpected downtime problems.
  • Lead and support technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting large industrial power supplies, drives, and furnace components.
  • Use meters, oscilloscopes, and other analyzers to diagnose operating electrical systems.
  • Create reports documenting operational performance, accomplishments, projects, training, and maintenance tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of practical experience in electrical/electronic engineering, with a focus on industrial electronics and machine control systems (including PLCs and HMIs).
  • Proficiency in handling industrial power supplies, drives, motors, and controls, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical components in a high-voltage industrial environment.
  • Competence in operating electrical test equipment, such as meters, oscilloscopes, and other analyzers.
  • Programming experience in PLC Ladder Logic, C/C++, C#, or C.net is desirable.
  • Background or knowledge of mechanical systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, motor drives, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while effectively collaborating with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and project management abilities.
