We have partnered with a highly regarded forensic engineering organization in search of a skilled Electrical Forensics Engineer to join their expanding team in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Forensics Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to investigate failures in electrical systems and damage to equipment. This will involve conducting on-site assessments, performing root cause analysis, assessing electrical and mechanical systems, and preparing comprehensive and defensible reports for clients in the legal, insurance, and industrial sectors.
You will also:

Assess solar power systems (if applicable)

Analyze damaged electrical infrastructure and equipment

Evaluate corrosion, materials, and mechanical properties

Estimate repair or replacement costs

Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and colleagues

Manage multiple complex projects from start to finish

Provide deposition or expert witness testimony (if experienced)
Requirements:
Technical Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred)

Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in a Southeastern U.S. state (or eligible within 6 months)

At least 3 years of experience in forensic investigation and reporting (preferred)

Familiarity with failure analysis, industrial systems, and equipment

Experience with solar power systems is highly desirable

Prior experience as an expert witness or in deposition is highly valued

Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, and MS Office
