What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Lead the development of comprehensive electrical design packages suitable for PE stamping and plan check submittals.
  • Create and manage detailed documentation including:
    • Load studies, single line diagrams, conduit/cable schedules
    • Plot plans, lighting, grounding, and equipment installation details
    • Bills of material and construction specifications
  • Perform site walkdowns, factory acceptance testing, and provide support during commissioning of power systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure quality, budgets, and schedules are maintained.
  • Support proposals, technical scoping, and cost estimation for new project opportunities.
  • Occasionally provide after-hours support to both internal and external clients.
  • Travel up to 25% as required (including air travel) for site visits and client work.

Preferred Technical Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience designing electrical systems for heavy industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, and ideally API 500 standards.
  • Proficiency in:
    • AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
    • Power system modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower
    • Relay settings using GE Multilin and SEL
  • Experience with area classification drawings, motor schematics, and lightning protection is a plus.
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills are essential.

Education & Licensing Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • FE certification is required.
