Electrical Cost Analyst
Location: West Fargo, ND
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Our company is expanding its business opportunities and seeks an additional Electrical Cost Analyst to join our team in West Fargo, ND. Our focus is on larger scale multi-family and hotel construction, as well as all aspects of commercial construction and some industrial projects.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in design-build and plan & spec electrical cost analysis for commercial and light industrial projects. If you are motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and driven to succeed, we are interested in speaking with you!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Examine construction plans and specifications to determine electrical needs and estimated costs
- Analyze bid documents to identify requirements for submitting project proposals
- Evaluate bid and construction documents to determine all necessary components for a comprehensive proposal
- Collaborate with other trades to design and coordinate design-build projects
- Request and assess quotes from vendors
- Prepare written proposals
- Attend pre-bid meetings and project interviews as necessary
- Provide detailed information for transitioning projects to assigned Project Managers
- Negotiate project scopes and contracts
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships within the industry
- Monitor estimates and follow up with customers
- Plan and manage upcoming project opportunities
- Stay updated with current industry trends and techniques
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating commercial and light industrial electrical projects
- Familiarity with Design-Build projects
- Thorough understanding of the NEC (National Electrical Code) as well as current wiring standards, principles, designs, and techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in interacting with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and relevant software for viewing and editing blueprints and documents
- Experience with Bluebeam preferred or an ability to quickly learn
- Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, construction plans, contract documents, and Spec sheets
- Valid driver's license required
