Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Location: Rockwall, TX



SALARY: $70,000 - $90,000

Our client, a renowned global leader in wire manufacturing, specializing in utility, automotive, and ul/csa electronic wire and cables, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician with expertise in electrical systems to join their team at their plant in Rockwall, TX.   • Perform diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems of plant machinery and equipment, including electrical & PLC's.
  • Inspect equipment and diagnose malfunctions through preventive maintenance plans, analyze equipment failures, and assist in determining root causes.
  • Work safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine failures through component disassembly and inspection.
  • Utilize technical documentation (such as prints, manuals, and specifications) for troubleshooting.
  • Aid in troubleshooting of PLC and Relay.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records of critical and quality-related plant equipment.
  • Determine root cause of failure and implement corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Audit the maintenance program and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Repair failures using current procedures and recommend alternative methods if necessary.
  • Develop, document, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Generate out-of-tolerance reports for equipment found outside the acceptance criteria, as required.
  • Perform precision maintenance tasks, such as alignment checks, measurement of mechanical clearances, and balancing of rotating equipment.
  • Execute motor and plant lubrication tasks.
  • Maintain procedures for critical and quality-related plant equipment.
  • Understand and comply with all OSHA, state/provincial, and local codes.
  • Participate in plant training and safety programs.
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of industrial maintenance experience and education. Preferred 2-5 years of experience.
  • Experience in electrical and control systems troubleshooting.
  • Basic electrical knowledge or experience with AC/DC voltage.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and Relays.
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repair of common mechanical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility.
  • Understanding of OSHA rules.
