Job Description:

The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead and oversee the application of aerospace primary and secondary flight control components and high voltage electrical distribution panels. This includes making strategic and operational decisions for product development and project management of hydraulic mechanical actuation systems, electronic systems, and controls for new and existing aircraft. Close collaboration with the parent company's engineering team and effective communication with customers are essential. The Engineering Manager should be self-motivated, results-oriented, and possess strong leadership and technical skills.


  • Lead and guide the engineering department in executing both new development and sustaining activities through prioritization, collaborative research, and effective teamwork.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and coaching to the department for the development and delivery of Electrical and Hydraulic Flight Control equipment.
  • Conduct effective interdepartmental and customer interactions, coordinating technical efforts to achieve program objectives.
  • Provide recommendations to the parent company's engineering team for technical problem-solving and technology development strategy.
  • Establish and uphold standards, conduct team training, and ensure adherence to company processes.
  • Set department goals and develop tactical and operational plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Create departmental budgets, schedules, and management plans to ensure programs adhere to timelines and budgets.
  • Supervise the overall operation of the engineering department.
  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering leadership in the preparation, organization, improvement, and execution of Engineering Masters and Assembly Instructions.
  • Manage the company's Core Technical Information and implement annual updates and training.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the aerospace product development process, including experience with systems development, integration, and certification testing of aircraft and Flight Control Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate and communicate within a team.
  • Ensure product configuration compliance through effective document and data control.
  • Accountable for technical issues to customers and suppliers, working closely with the parent company and their customers.
  • Expertise and understanding of Flight Controls Actuation systems and Electrical Distribution Panels used in aircraft.
  • Experience with Failure Investigation Process, root cause determination, corrective action resolution, and implementation.
  • Ability to propose and facilitate product improvement ideas.
  • Familiarity with engineering and simulation analyses such as performance, reliability & safety, FMEA, and FEA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven aerospace project management experience.
  • Good people management and customer service skills.
  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) to provide and solicit critical information and contribute to professional technical proposals.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical field.
  • 15 years of experience in hydraulic Flight Controls Actuation or equivalent.
