Junior Land Planner

Location: Peachtree Corners, GA
We are currently seeking an Entry Level Land Planner for our clients in Norcross, GA
Position Overview:

This role involves assisting clients in developing their projects by assessing current conditions, setting achievable goals, and creating high-quality planned developments. The ideal candidate will need to have a good understanding of local municipal regulations and be willing to work with clients, local authorities, and land planning experts to strategize and recommend solutions for various land use projects. This position requires basic knowledge and proficiency in all job responsibilities as an entry-level land planner.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or related certification
• Preference for PLP Certification
• 0-1 years of experience in master land planning across different project scales
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, GIS, Land F/X, and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Municode and other ordinance systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to make decisions independently
• Maintain a professional and self-motivated attitude
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
• Representing the company professionally in client interactions
• Understanding suitability studies
• Developing timeframes and approaches to reach project goals
• Using visual aids for public presentations
• Researching, analyzing, and presenting technical data
• Interpreting land use laws and regulations
• Gathering and communicating statistical data
• Assisting in creating land planning proposals
• Ensuring compliance with zoning ordinances
• Coordinating for plan approvals
• Preparing project status reports
• Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
• Completing project tasks on schedule
• Staying updated on trends and innovations in land use planning
• Providing excellent customer service
• Collaborating with various stakeholders in the planning process
