EHS Site Manager

Location: Brookfield, CT

Job Description

  • Act as the EHS leader at the site
  • Oversee strategic and technical aspects of all EHS programs and policies
  • Manage regulatory audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Lead risk assessments, hazard analysis, and emergency response planning
  • Supervise hazardous waste, chemical handling, and contractor safety
  • Provide EHS training to employees and support safety engagement
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations
  • Monitor and report safety metrics, EHS audits, and regulatory submissions
  • Establish and maintain essential documentation including SWPPP, SPCC, and GPP plans
  • Utilize Cority or similar EHS software for documentation and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS platforms (e.g., Cority)
  • Experience in managing audits, investigations, and compliance reporting
